Sebastian Masuda is renowned for his psychedelic and surreal style of interior design and the Japanese visual artist hasn’t disappointed in his latest project. He has brought his ‘Kawaii Monster cafe’ to the fashionable Tokyo district of Harajuka. The recently opened cafe which is absolutely bursting with colour, odd-looking characters and general absurdity. It is split into 4 zones, each embellished with its own theme and experience.
Decorated with oversized baby bottle light fixtures, a huge ‘sweets-go-round’ wheel and towering mushroom over-booth lights the menu includes the likes of ‘poison parfait’, rainbow pasta and MONSTER BLT, all the while being served by one of the eye-catching ‘monster girls’.
This cafe certainly is a unique experience, which is ideal for modern day social media picture opportunities.
